Who is Bob Brinker?

With the economy like it is, can you believe in Bob’s Marketimer to secure your future? Be very careful and do your due diligence. Brinker is yet another self-promoting market guru in my opinion. These guys are pronouncing the sky is falling or either everything is rosy. Whatever it takes to sell and remove money from your wallet. Just because a guy is on the radio does not mean he is going to make you money.

Bob Brinker has been involved with investment management for 25 years. He has a financial talk program “Money Talk” that he host on weekends. He answers and advises on investment questions from his listeners who call in on the 800# with questions or comments that will be aired on the show. Topics covered are generally stock market and investment portfolio centered.

During the 1990s he made numerous predictions about the movement of the stock market. He was often quoted for saying things that seemed to be bold and sometimes irresponsible, but that was his way of delivering facts that were very well researched and had historical precedence.

Now if you have some of your own money that you don’t know what to do with give Bob Brinker a call. I’m sure he would be willing to offer you some advice and put it on his show. Whether the advice is worth anything is up to you to decide

Managing your own portfolio can be extremely tricky in these volatile times unless you are an investment expert yourself. If you want to invest, learn to do it on your own and study, study, study and then study some more. Do not just arbitrarily throw your money into the market just because some guy has you thinking that they know what they are talking about.

Wake up Americans. You lost several trillion dollars in market value in your portfolios during 2000-present. Sure you may have gained some back in 2003 if you were lucky, but that does not mean that you should just jump at someone’s advice, ever. You know, the bottom line is a risk investment is a risk investment and all the research and input in the world is not going to change that, nor Mr. Brinker or any other market analyst or risk advisor for that matter.

Trying Bob’s recommendations while paper trading, may prove to you that his advice can make you money. I do recommend him from a learning point of view, because when it comes to the markets, knowledge is power. We (my husband and I) made the choice to turn our portfolio over to a professional brokerage firm. It was the right choice for us.
