Yes, You Have to Work on Lead Generation

It’s a given in Network Marketing: lead generation–or prospecting or recruiting or finding suitable candidates–is without a doubt the lifeblood of an MLM marketing business. Without customers, you don’t have a business. Without prospects that become enthusiast distributors, you don’t have a future. Period. (As an associate of mine says: “you’re dead in page one.”)

For your business to function, to grow, plain and simple and however you want to see it, you need to work at lead generation. No matter how you feel about it: without it, you are not going anywhere.

No leads, no sales, no team, no business.

OK, so you’re not big on generating leads. You’re shy, you’re afraid people will reject you, or you don’t like using the phone…

I get it…

Well, then you have to ask yourself some hard questions right about now:

Do you really, absolutely want your business to grow? Do you really, absolutely want to generate a residual income? Do you really, absolutely desire to live a better life, however you define it?

If the answer is “Yes, I do, really, absolutely… “, then you have to do lead generation. You have to find prospect. You have to work on the net part of your Network business.

As simple–and as complicated–as that.

Yes, you may use technology to simplify and amplify your efforts. Yes, you might use social media to reach to people. Yes, you can–an need–use automated mechanisms.

But, sooner rather than later if you’re really serious about your business, you need to talk to people and do lead generation, prospecting and qualifying, as well as following up. Especially when trying to locate, recruit and develop leaders.

You’ll only get the desired results if you approach it with the right attitude. You have to want it! If you don’t, it’ll show!

That doesn’t mean you have to be desperate. It means you need to be positive and confident. If you’re new to MLM marketing and network marketing, then the more you have to do lead generation. With this effort you will get better and better at it.

To be positive and confident you have to:

Be proactive in your lead generation activities 
Learn new skills that stretch beyond your comfort zones 
Be patient and persistent 
Understand who is your ultimate, ideal client, distributor and leader 
Be willing to choose the right type of candidates for you 
Make the first move, don’t wait 
Be creative in your approach 
Use different approaches and, definitely, take advantage of technology Be prepared to listen to find out what your prospect needs and wants 
Be prepared to follow up with your contacts 
If you want a positive team, then you have to be a positive Leader. If you can’t find it within yourself to step up to the plate and take action each day, then your team won’t either. And on the positive side: be a proactive leader and you’ll have a growing, proactive organization.

That, finally, is what duplication means
