How To Be Your Own Inspiration

YES!

I’m in the final phase of a HUGE project I’ve been working on for about a year and I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel. This project has been quite a learning experience and I’m going to celebrate big time when it’s launched. It felt great to wipe off so many of the items on my white board, now I’m down to just a few things and should be ready to launch soon.

I’m going to be very transparent because I want you to be inspired…

There were times where I asked myself if I knew what I was getting myself in to…

There were times that I just wanted to stop the process and move onto something else that maybe wasn’t so dang hard! (And to be honest, I did stray at times, not realizing that I was in avoidance mode.)

And there were times when I just felt lost.

But I kept on moving forward, sometimes at a snail’s pace but I was still moving.

Then something fantastic happened… I got inspired.

What inspired me?

Stopping the play button on my own story was the first thing I got inspired to do.

Seriously, I just got tired of the dialog in my head; when will this get easier? Why isn’t this easier? How can this get easier? This hasn’t gotten easier yet! Why is this so hard?

After hearing that story over and over I just said to myself, enough is enough. I realized that life doesn’t get easier with an attitude like that and I was making it harder than it needs to be.

So, if you have a similar dialog going on in your head, you have to hit your tipping point where you just say “enough” and take serious committed action. Any action that will get you unstuck is a good start.

Some action steps that I do for myself and recommend to my clients are

Clear the MIND clutter – go for a walk, a run, meditate… do what works for you but just do it now.

Clear the SPACE clutter – hire someone to help you de-clutter it. If you spend time doing this yourself you may end up falling into avoidance mode and before you know it you’ll be organizing the kitchen pantry. So hire someone to get it done for you, while you get back on track with your business.

Create a LIST of what you’ve accomplished, the loose ends, and what’s ahead – Often times, your mind is cluttered because you have so much on your mind that’s just not sorted out. So when you create a list with the above three areas, you can start to see your reality and go from there.

The second jolt of inspiration came from my vision and seeing my future self.

My vision I have is of my business is the impact it has and will continue to have on others. My work doesn’t feel like work, it’s incredibly rewarding and I look forward to my days with my clients.

I saw my future self as a happy, content, rich, healthy person who put in a lot of hard work, dedication and commitment to get where she is. My future self has accomplished many of her goals and is living a life beyond her dreams.

My clients; past, present, and future AND my future self all motivate and encourage me to stay on my path no matter what.

Having a vision for your business, your life, and the outcome you want is incredibly important to connect with. Your vision will magnetize you toward it when you get out of your own way and allow it.

Meeting your future self and staying in touch is an incredibly powerful thing.

Now go introduce yourself.
